PINEWOOD SCOOPS BEST AUDIO SUPPLIER AT TIGA AWARDS

Pinewood’s award-winning post production sound and foley team added Best Audio Supplier to its list of accolades last night at the 2016 TIGA Games Industry Awards, which took place at Christchurch Spitalfields in London.

Pinewood’s Head of Digital Recording and Editorial, Glen Gathard and his team which includes Foley Artist, Pete Burgis, received this latest award at a glittering ceremony which celebrated creativity, innovation and business in the burgeoning UK games industry.

Commenting on the team’s win, Glen Gathard, said: “Winning this award was a really great feeling. It was fantastic to see our team, who have put a lot of love and passion into many projects, recognised collectively for their efforts.”

He added, “As a company and a team we strive to always deliver the highest quality output possible whilst recognising the enjoyment of how lucky we are to be working on such great titles. We would like to thank teams like Sony, Creative Assembly, Media Molecule, Splash Damage and many others for trusting in us and allowing us to be part of their projects.”

TIGA is the network for games developers and digital publishers, as well as being the trade association representing the video games industry.   TIGA seeks to strengthen this important creative market by campaigning for the industry with government and business, raising the profile of the industry in the media, as well as helping members commercially.  The TIGA Games Industry Awards are a major event on the annual calendar and an important showcase for the wealth of talent in the UK.
