Actor-Comedian Chris Tucker Sits with Pinewood Atlanta’s Frank Patterson for Lively Discussion at 2018 Atlanta Film Festival
The Atlanta Film Festival and Florida State University hosted a special festival program featuring international award-winning actor and comedian Chris Tucker and Frank Patterson, President of Pinewood Atlanta Studios.
The two industry veterans took to the stage on Tuesday 17th April, at the Woodruff Arts Center to deliver a lively discussion about the good, the bad and the ugly facts and fiction of the film industry.
Tucker, best known for playing the role of Detective James Carter in the Rush Hour film series, has starred in films that have collectively grossed over one billion dollars in box office sales world-wide. In 2006, Tucker negotiated an unprecedented $25 million salary to appear in Rush Hour 3, which at the time made him the highest paid actor in Hollywood. In 2013, Tucker co-starred with Robert DeNiro, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper in the 2013 Oscar®- nominated film Silver Linings Playbook. In 2015, Netflix exclusively released his first standup film, Chris Tucker Live. He is currently on a successful U.S. and international comedy tour, receiving rave reviews from all over the world.
This special program was presented by the Dean’s Alumni Council of the Florida State University’s College of Motion Picture Arts. FSU’s film school has been named by the Hollywood Reporter as one of the top film schools in the world and recognized by the Directors Guild of America for its “distinguished contribution to America culture through the world of film and television.”
