PINEWOOD ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF NAOISE BARRY AS HEAD OF PRODUCTION AT PINEWOOD PRODUCTIONS IRELAND LTD

The Pinewood Studios Group is pleased to announce that Naoise Barry is joining the Company as Head of Production at Pinewood Productions Ireland Ltd.

Naoise joins the Company from his current position as Film Commissioner for Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB) where he has worked for the past fourteen years.

IFB Chief Executive, James Hickey said:

“Naoise has played an enormous role in attracting international production to Ireland. During his tenure at the IFB he succeeded in establishing two very important and influential networks; the FILM DUBLIN Partnership and the Network of Regional Film Offices. These industry support networks include a wide range of public bodies who provide vital support to filmmakers.  He also forged strong links with Tourism Ireland to exploit the synergy between film and tourism. We would like to thank him for his dedicated service and wish him the very best of luck in the next phase of his career.”

Speaking about his new position Naoise Barry said:

“I am very much looking forward to joining the Pinewood Group and bringing my knowledge and experience of the industry to my new role as Head of Production.”

Naoise will take up his new position in mid-August.

Pinewood Productions Ireland Limited is a full service production company focusing on physical production administration, Section 481 application and packaging. The company services Pinewood’s International clients shooting on location in Ireland. Services range from pre-production budgeting and location scouting, through facilities rentals and talent and crew sourcing. Pinewood will also be exploring opportunities to establish a studio operation to service the market.
