LITTLETON GARDENS
The River Ash and a woodland area owned by the local council, border Shepperton Studios and are a useful and convenient filming locations. Just a few miles from the River Thames, the picturesque River Ash featured in The African Queen.
Adjacent to Littleton House, The Orangery is a bright, light and flexible space for location filming, rehearsals and events.
Built in the 17th century, the exterior tiled patio, lawn and formal garden at Littleton House offer the perfect backdrop for a location shoot.
17th century Littleton House, offers sumptuous rooms, a marble-floored entrance hall with an open fireplace, a minstrel’s gallery and The Orangery. The house has been used for scenes in Batman Begins and The Omen.
The large wood-panelled boardroom within the 17th century Littleton House can be used for meetings and location filming.

Getting Here
The Studios operate a free shuttle bus service to local underground and mainline stations for all Shepperton staff, studio tenants, production crew and visitors.
- Buses operate Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) and run between Shepperton Studios, Shepperton station and Staines station.
- Admission to the bus is upon presentation of proof of identity or other authorisation (visitors must be issued with a letter or email authorising them to use the shuttle service).
Our 16-seater minibuses leave from the following pick-up points:
- Shepperton Studios (pickup) – Pinewood Road, busses leave from outside Double Lodge
- Shepperton – Outside the station entrance
- Staines – Outside the stations main entrance

This will take you to our visitors car park and main reception.
The nearest mainline stations are Staines, Ashford or Shepperton.
- Trains from London depart from Waterloo station and call at Feltham and then Staines. Taxis from these stations take around 15 minutes to reach the Studios. Occasionally the same trains will also call at Ashford station from which a taxi would take 10 minutes.
- Alternatively, take a less frequent train to Shepperton station, from which a taxi will take around 5 minutes.
The nearest Underground station is Hatton Cross or Heathrow.
- If travelling by Underground, take the Piccadilly line west from Central London to Hatton Cross. This journey will take around 30 minutes, and a taxi to the Studios will take an additional 15 minutes.
- There is a direct train service between Paddington station and Heathrow airport every 15 minutes. The ‘Heathrow Express’ takes 23 minutes and stops at Terminals 1 and 4. Taxis from Heathrow Airport take 20-25 minutes to reach the Studios.
