Early Careers

Pinewood is passionate about welcoming new talent into the industry. There is a place at Pinewood for those whose professional career is just beginning, or who are changing paths later in life.​

We offer a range of apprenticeships across various departments and work with selected universities to offer year-long University industry placements within our Post Production team. We also partner with several organisations focused on bringing new talent into the industry such as the BFI Film Academy, Into Film and ScreenSkills. We’ve also introduced the ‘Behind the Screen’ placement programme which is designed to help people who are currently out of work take their first step into the world of film.

In addition, we support our people with their professional accreditations, qualifications and a to develop a variety of transferrable skills. We’re proud to support our employees’ continuous development and promote opportunities for mentoring, secondments as well as supporting professional and degree-level apprenticeships for new and existing employees.

ScreenSkills

To uphold the UK Creative Industries’ first-class reputation, we work closely with ScreenSkills who support the industry to ensure a constant flow of skills and talent. ​

ScreenSkills, is the industry-led skills body for the UK’s screen industries – animation, film, games, television including children’s TV and high-end drama, VFX and immersive technology.​

Apprenticeships

As an apprentice, you would gain invaluable experience working alongside our highly skilled teams whilst receiving formal training and earning a qualification. You’d be a permanent employee, receiving a salary, annual leave and access to all of our employee benefits.

At the end of their courses, our apprentices continue their development with Pinewood and we help to provide future support for a successful career in the creative industries.
