Our Futures Festival 2025 is set to be the biggest free careers event for students in Toronto looking to explore a career in the Film & TV industry. On May 2, at Pinewood Toronto Studios, meet employers and industry professionals at our world class studio space, which has been home to Star Trek: Discovery, Schitt’s Creek, IT and IT Chapter 2, and many other incredible films and series filmed in Toronto. Employers, unions, post secondary schools, advocacy organizations, government agencies, and more industry professionals will aim to inspire, engage and encourage you to consider careers in the screen industry. From makeup artistry to accounting, carpentry to directing, wardrobe to VFX, and a myriad of other roles – there are jobs in film that suit almost every skill set and interest.

You will also be sent some Futures Festival terms and conditions when you register for tickets; Information about this will be sent to you after you register.
Futures Festival is open to students in Grade 11 and Grade 12 from the TDSB and TCDSB. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Futures Festival is absolutely free! Pinewood Toronto Studios are hosting the event to showcase the enormous range of opportunities and careers available in the industry.
Travel arrangements and costs will be the responsibility of attendees, but if you wish to take the TTC, the 72 bus runs from Pape Station to Saulter Street and Commissioners Street (across the Street from our Studios), and the 114 bus runs from Union Station to Saulter and Commissioners.
There will be designated opportunities to take photos; these will be clearly signposted but photography outside of these designated opportunities will be prohibited. Please do read the terms and conditions carefully before you arrive to the event and ensure that all young people are aware of the conditions before coming onto site.
