Pinewood Group has announced a £300,000 charitable donation to the London Screen Academy, funding two vital initiatives: the Outreach & Diversity Programme and the Mental Health Support Programme. This support will be phased over three academic years.
Empowering Underrepresented Talent
The Outreach & Diversity Programme aims to inspire children and young people from traditionally underrepresented groups to pursue a place at the London Screen Academy and view careers in the screen and wider creative industries as accessible and full of opportunity. The school works closely with target schools and communities, delivering workshops, special assemblies, open days and Saturday Clubs designed to engage and inspire young people and their families.
Supporting Student Wellbeing
The Mental Health Support Programme delivers enhanced care for vulnerable students, offering one-to-one and group art and talking therapy sessions. All students have access and will benefit from tailored support designed to help them thrive during their time at the London Screen Academy and graduate ready to fulfil their potential.
“We are proud to support these initiatives that open doors for underrepresented talent and provide essential mental health resources, at the London Screen Academy. These programmes will help shape a more inclusive and resilient creative industry.”

“Our students thrive when they feel supported, seen and encouraged. Pinewood's backing of our Outreach and Pastoral services enables us to deepen that support, ensuring every young person at LSA has the guidance and care they need to succeed both creatively and personally. We are grateful to Pinewood for all their support and for sharing our commitment to young people.”
LSA Founder and Chair, Screen Academy Foundation
Donations to the London Screen Academy are reviewed annually by the Academy’s Board of Trustees to ensure alignment with the charity’s principles of supporting ‘added-value’ programmes beyond core government funding. Trustees monitor spending and impact throughout the academic year to guarantee transparency and effectiveness.
This above collaboration reflects a shared commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Pinewood Group and the London Screen Academy will integrate these principles into every aspect of the funded programmes, ensuring meaningful and lasting social impact.
