Shepperton Studios has awarded the latest round of grants from both the Shepperton Studios Community Fund and the Shepperton Studios Education Fund, reflecting its continued commitment to prioritising and supporting the communities around the Studios. The £500,000 Community Fund was launched in 2022 to support local individuals, non-profit and voluntary organisations including charities, social enterprises, and community groups that serve the Shepperton area and wider Borough of Spelthorne.

The Community Foundation for Surrey, an independent registered charity, partners with Shepperton Studios to identify and support meaningful local causes and oversees the delivery and monitoring of all projects supported by both the Shepperton Studios Community Fund and Shepperton Studios Education Fund. This approach ensures funding is directed towards organisations delivering practical support in the communities closest to the Studios. In the latest round, the Shepperton Studios Community Fund awarded £5,000 to Shepperton Darts Academy, while the Shepperton Studios Education Fund awarded £7,000 to Thamesmead School – Performing Arts.

“We are extremely grateful to the Shepperton Studios Community Fund for this generous grant, which will make a real difference to performing arts at Thamesmead School. It will support our summer production with professional sound, technical expertise and costume hire, bring African storytelling workshops to around 210 students, and replace ageing music equipment. This funding will help ensure that all students, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with SEND, can access high-quality, inclusive creative opportunities. By developing confidence, creativity and self-expression, these experiences will enable young people to discover and showcase their talents, while bringing families and the wider community together to celebrate their achievements.”

More about the Funds
The Shepperton Studios Community and Education Funds form part of the Studios’ ‘Set For More’ programme, a long-term commitment focused on creating opportunities for young people, investing in the local community and supporting underprivileged groups. The programme underlines Shepperton Studios’ role as a long-standing local employer and neighbour, with a continued focus on contributing positively to the area around it. This is in addition to the community benefits already pledged by Shepperton Studios as part of its expansion and improvements to the world-renowned facility.
How to apply for a grant
To apply to the Shepperton Studios Community Fund visit the Community Foundation for Surrey website https://www.cfsurrey.org.uk/apply. The Foundation has one application form for all of their funds, so there is no need to specify which fund you are applying to. Complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) form on the Foundation’s website – this is a simple form where you share your funding needs – and the grants team will let you know if your request is eligible to make a full application.
The next opportunity to submit an expression of interest (EOI) will open on Monday 2 November- Friday 11 December 2026. If invited to apply, the application deadline will be Tuesday 2 March 2026 with decisions on applications expected in April 2027.
