This year’s Awards season is well truly and underway, with 11 of the BAFTA nominated films supported by Pinewood Group.
1917, which shot at Shepperton Studios last year and was also supported by our Creative Audio team with crowd walla records, has won ‘Best Motion Picture – Drama’ and ‘Best Director – Motion Picture’ at the Golden Globes and has been nominated for 9 BAFTAS.
Our Localisation team worked on the international versions of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood – winning three Globes, nominated for 10 BAFTAs and Joker – won two Globes, nominated for 11 BAFTAs. The team also supported Rocketman, which won two Globes and is nominated for 4 BAFTAs, the film also partly shot at Pinewood Studios, with foley completed by Pinewood Creative Audio. For which Glen Gathard and his team have received a Cinema Audio Society Award nomination.
Other BAFTA nominations for films supported by Pinewood Creative Services or shot at the Studios are; The Two Popes, Judy, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, The Personal History of David Copperfield, Klaus, Avengers: Endgame and Sorry We Missed You.
