On the 15th of February, over fifty young people who took part in a six-week course as part of the BFI (British Film Institute) Film Academy celebrated their graduation. The course, run by local company Resource Productions at both Pinewood and Shepperton Studios gave them an opportunity to develop new skills, obtain a qualification and explore the multiple career opportunities available in the film industry.
At their graduation, the films that they had created during the course were showcased to assembled guests in the John Barry Theatre at Pinewood Studios. Screening their films gave the aspiring filmmakers an enormous sense of possibility in pursuing their own film-making ambitions.
With their artistic appetite kindled, the young people were encouraged to take their training forward in the creative direction they wished to.
