Latest Shepperton Community Fund Grants Announced

The Fifth Round of the £500,000 Fund for Local Organisations

Shepperton Studios have awarded the latest round of grants from their Community Fund. The £500,000 Fund was launched in 2022 to support local individuals, non-profit and voluntary organisations including charities, social enterprises, and community groups that serve the Shepperton area and wider Borough of Spelthorne. So far, the fund has supported 19 organisations and is in its fifth round.

“It is great to see the positive and meaningful impact our Shepperton Community Fund is having on our local community and across the Borough. We are delighted to have supported so many groups and charities since we launched it in 2022. We encourage more groups and organisations to apply.”

The Community Foundation for Surrey, a local organisation, partners with Shepperton Studios to identify meaningful local causes and oversees the delivery and monitoring of all projects supported by the Shepperton Studios Community Fund. Grants awarded in the latest round went to the Surrey Care Trust and Spelthorne Rentstart.

Surrey Care Trust is a Surreybased charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable people and families so they can improve their lives and futures. They deliver longterm, holistic support for people facing multiple, complex disadvantages including poor mental health, isolation, unemployment, family breakdown, and poverty. The grant is being used to support The Stanwell Community Group, part of the Surrey Care Trust.

“The Stanwell Community Group is a place where people come together, feel connected, and grow — in every sense of the word. With the amazing support of Surrey Care Trust and our dedicated volunteers, we’ve created a welcoming space through Lord Knyvett Hall and the Stanwell Community Allotment. We run a wide variety of activities — from family-friendly park play sessions and creative workshops, to seasonal events, gardening, and skills training. The funding we received from Shepperton Studios has enabled us to continue to deliver these vital services at the Stanwell Community Group”.

Surrey Care Trust

Spelthorne Rentstart is a local charity based in Staines, Surrey, committed to combating homelessness and supporting vulnerable individuals in the Spelthorne Borough. Established in 1997, the charity has provided assistance to over 8,000 people, helping nearly 2,400 secure stable accommodation

“We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Shepperton Studios for your generous contribution of £7,500 towards move-in costs for our clients at the start of their tenancies. Your support will make a meaningful difference, helping vulnerable individuals settle into safe and stable housing with dignity. These funds will go directly toward essential items and initial costs that many of our clients would otherwise struggle to afford, ensuring they begin this new chapter with the security and confidence they deserve. On behalf of the entire team and those we support, thank you!”
