Orphan Black wins big at the Canadian Screen Awards

Orphan Black, which recorded its third season at Pinewood Toronto Studios picked up a total of eight awards at this year’s Canadian Screen Awards’ Television & Digital Media Gala.

Taking place last night, Orphan Black was awarded:

Best Achievement in Casting
Best Direction in a Dramatic
Best Original Music Score for a Series
Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Program or Series (Jordan Gavaris)
Best Photography in a Dramatic Program or Series
Best Picture  Editing in a Dramatic Program or Series
Best Production Design or Art Direction in a Fiction Program or Series
Best Writing in a Dramatic Series
Spun Out, which also recorded its first and second series at Pinewood Toronto Studios, also won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Supporting Role or Guest Role in a Comedic Series (Lauren Ash).

The full awards, to be hosted by Emmy Award-winning comedian Andrea Martin, will take place on Sunday March 1st at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, and will air live on CBC starting at 8 p.m. ET.
