PINEWOOD GROUP’S ‘BEHIND THE SCREEN’ TRAINEE PROGRAMME NOW IN ITS FOURTH YEAR!

SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE INTO THE FILM AND HETV INDUSTRY

Our new cohort of ‘Behind the Screen’ Runners have begun their placements at the Studios on a programme designed to help people take their first step into the world of film and HETV. Based at Pinewood and Shepperton Studios, our new team of behind the screeners are in four departments: Studio Management Runner – Pinewood, Studio Management Runner – Shepperton, Studio Management Runner- Indie Film Hub, and Comms and Marketing.

The placements will provide people with on-the-job learning, work experience, and the support they need to kick off their career in the industry. Placements are paid, six months long and previous participants have worked across our Post Production, Health and Safety, and Operations departments.

Pinewood Group officially launched its own employment programme named ‘Behind the Screen’, following the success of the Government Kickstart Scheme launched in 2021. The roles within the programme are advertised and managed in collaboration with Jobcentre Plus.
