Pinewood Studios Supports Iver Heath Residents for Best Kept Village Award

Staff from Pinewood Studios joined the Iver Heath Residents Association to help with a local clean-up ahead of judging for the Buckinghamshire Best Kept Village Competition 2019. The Iver Heath Residents Association successfully entered Iver Heath into the competition, which takes place during June, and have been supported by a group of 20 staff from the Studios, which are based in Iver Heath.

Andy Thomas, The Ivers – Volunteers at Work, said: “The Ivers – Volunteers at Work are a small group of residents delivering a visible clean-up campaign in and around the Ivers. Our competition entry is an excellent opportunity for Iver Heath to celebrate all the positive aspects of life in our village and highlight great community efforts that go on by many to keep our surroundings well maintained. Iver Heath is an amazing place, in a fantastic location, close to London yet surrounded by stunning green spaces, and includes some of the country’s most beautiful Country Parks and Nature Reserves. The response to the competition entry from residents, local community groups and businesses has been terrific and reinforces what great spirit we have in this community.  Pinewood Studios deserve a special mention, helping to design and print our eye-catching Competition Poster and organising a special litter pick by its own employees.”

Andrew M. Smith, Corporate Affairs Director, Pinewood Studios, said: “The Iver Heath Residents Association work tirelessly all year round to help improve the local area, and we were delighted to support their campaign to help win Best Kept Village. Our team loved the opportunity to give back to the local community.”
