The BFDG is a flourishing, growing, professional group of talented individuals who have over 550 accredited memberships of skilled Creatives and Production Designers, spanning the various branches of the Art Department in Film, Television and Commercials.

It was formed with the aim of raising the standards and profile of the Art Department and protecting the interests of its members over 75 years ago. Those core principles still apply today, and we are a thriving and evolving creative community. We offer our members a range of benefits including the opportunity to promote themselves and their work, networking events (which includes workshops, design forums and informative Q & A sessions), unique accident insurance, work availability information, industry news and the highlight of the year, our annual awards which celebrate our members’ talents.
